Taking Root
Some things take root before you ever notice them growing.
A conversation that reframes everything. A mentor who sees what you can't yet see in yourself. A moment of stillness that arrives disguised as crisis. These are the things that shape a leader — not the titles, not the tenure.
I've spent a long time thinking about what it means to lead well. Not just effectively. Well. With intention. With humility. With an awareness that every decision, every interaction, every choice about how we show up, sends a ripple outward in ways we may never fully trace.
Buddhist philosophy has a word for this kind of interconnectedness — pratītyasamutpāda, (dependent origination), the understanding that everything arises in relationship to everything else. That nothing exists in isolation. That the quality of our inner life shapes the quality of everything we touch.
Ripple & Root is a podcast born from that belief.
It's a space for leaders and changemakers who are building something that matters — and who understand that how you build is just as important as what you build. People with deep roots. People whose influence ripples far beyond their title or their org chart.
Each episode, I'll sit with someone like that. We'll go beneath the surface — to the beliefs, the breakdowns, the turning points, the teachers. To what actually made them who they are.
If you lead with intention. If you're curious about the inner work behind the outer impact. If you believe that leadership is, at its core, a practice, well…
